Diane Grooms, age 72

Diane Grooms, age 72, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on August 23, 2024. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on September 1, 1951 to parents Leon Ramond Malone and Anna Sue Cox.

Diane loved going to church. She was a long-time member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas. She enjoyed watching old westerns on TV, and above all, Diane loved taking care of her family.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Sonny Malone; and her husband Hollis Waylon Grooms.

She is survived by her children Nathan Malone (Kim), Hollis Grooms Jr. (Stacey), and Lori Grooms; grandchildren Meagen Malone, Katharine Sanborn, Allison Norton (Daniel), Ryan Grooms, Courtney Grooms; great-granddaughter Piper Malone; three sisters Rita Strobel, Judy Abbott, and Natalie Abbott; great-nephew Aiden Fuller; along with many other beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 1:00pm with funeral service starting at 2:00pm at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas. Interment will take place at Loretto Cemetery in Loretto, Tennessee at a later date.

    Diane always left with “I love you , call me if you need anything”. She was a graceful lady. She will be missed so much.

    Used to tell Dianne she’s a true Southern Lady. She lived her life that way. Taking care of her family me now included, wasn’t a job it’s what she wanted.

    Such a pleasant spirit that we already miss at Mt. Carmel. She loved the Lord and arrived in the church sanctuary early to take in praise team rehearsals! 🙂
