Carolyn Ann Hubanks (Franks), age 76

Carolyn Ann Hubanks (Franks) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 76. Carolyn was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on December 10, 1948. She attended school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Carolyn started working at sixteen at the Malco Theatre located in downtown Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Her favorite thing to do was roller skate. Roller rinks were the place to go on Friday and Saturday in the 1960s. After graduating from Pine Bluff High School, Carolyn started working at Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) as a candy striper, then started working on the different floors and landed on the heart floor for a 45-year stay. The last 10 years of her job were spent working on the computer, entering prescriptions from doctors for patients on floor 3NE. She devoted her entire career to the healthcare field.  Carolyn retired from JRMC in 2011. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, James  Dan Franks; her mother, Virginia Franks; and her brother, James Edward Franks.

Carolyn is survived by two sons, Charles Franks and Lee Franks, and his wife, Jennifer of Branson, Missouri: Seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Emmalyn, Tanner, Brandon, Logan, Addison, Delaney, and great-grandson Miles. Also, her brother James Franks’ wife Jackie Franks and children, Michael Franks, Michelle Landers, and Amber Bass; beloved Granger and Franks cousins.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Kimberling City Methodist Church, 57 Kimberling City, MO 65686. Also, the obituary will be posted in Pine Bluff Commercial.

    Carolyn was my best friend sister. I think sometime she was trying to keep us out of trouble or telling on us.She was a Beautiful person inside and out. I’m glad that she is reunited with her big brother in Heaven. Pam and I will keep her family in our Prayers.
