Prudence Louise Leavell Seidenschwarz
December 8, 1944 – August 3, 2025
Beebe, Arkansas (formerly of Morrilton and Cabot)
Prudence “Prudy” Louise Leavell Seidenschwarz, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Beebe, Arkansas. A lifelong Arkansan, Prudy was born on December 8, 1944, in Morrilton to the late Emma Jean Stallings Leavell and Shula Calvin Leavell.
Prudy graduated from Morrilton High School in 1962 and went on to attend Teacher’s College in Conway (now UCA), where she met the love of her life, Billy Mack Seidenschwarz, during a dance competition they won together. They built a beautiful life full of laughter, love, and devotion, raising three children together until Billy’s passing.
She was the heart of her family-nurturing, fun, kind, and fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren. Prudy raised her family in North Little Rock before moving to Cabot in 1977, where she began working for Cabot Public Schools in 1981. Over 41 years of service, she formed lasting friendships and earned the love and admiration of colleagues across the district, especially within the Administrative Offices, where she worked in many roles with warmth and dedication.
Prudy had a gift for finding joy in the everyday and was known for her dimpled smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering kindness. She loved laughing, reading, music, dancing, and most of all, being surrounded by her family. She was deeply involved in her grandchildren’s lives-cheering from the sidelines, chaperoning trips, reading to classrooms, and proudly supporting Cabot Schools in countless ways.
She grew up in the Presbyterian faith and lived out her beliefs through compassion, strength, and service to others. She taught Sunday School, wrote devotionals, and continually nurtured her spiritual life with joy and grace.
Prudy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Mack Seidenschwarz; her parents, Shula and Emma Jean Leavell; her brother, Calvin Shula Leavell; and her sister-in-law, Mary Helen Leavell.
She is survived by her children Stacia Lynn Finkbeiner (John), Susan Leanne Covington (Dewayne), William Shula Seidenschwarz (Christina); her cherished grandchildren Joshua Allen Finkbeiner, Jacob Patrick Finkbeiner (Alexis), Phillip Casey Covington (Sarah), Garrett Cole Covington, Hannah Catherine Covington, Emma Rose Seidenschwarz, Kateline Michelle Carmony (Kris), William Wyatt Seidenschwarz; and her beloved great-grandchildren Addilynn Greice Finkbeiner, Conner Allen Finkbeiner, Keira Lane Covington, Camden Lee Covington, Jackson Wayne Covington, Oakley Wren Covington, Rowen Jeriah Covington, Illiana Raine Covington.
Prudy treasured her friendships, especially her lifelong college roommates. The special friends she considered sisters, with whom she continued to take trips and make memories long after their children were grown. To know Prudy was to know loyalty, love, and laughter. She gave freely of herself and taught others, by example, how to find light even in difficult times. She truly had the time of her life.
A celebration of Prudy’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400. Online guestbook available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

Sweet lady! Always so kind to me and my family.
Prudy was truly a one of a kind friend and co-worker. Working along side her was an adventure every day. She was always smiling and her laughter was so infectious; you couldn’t help but laugh along with her. Although I will miss her, I know that she is in a much better place. Until I see you again…….
