It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steve Davis, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. Steve was born to Howard H. Davis and Lilian I. Cruise, both of whom have predeceased him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held in the hearts of those who knew him.
Steve is survived by his two brothers, Dale Davis and David (Frosty) Davis, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Kimberly (Davis) Millsaps, Rhonda Roth, Lisa Schroeder, Dee Bruce, Jason Davis, Jordan Davis, Todd Davis, Amber Davis, and Dusty Davis. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn (Davis) Mear and Gail (Davis) Jones.
He was a proud father to Steve Davis Jr., Jessica Thrift, and David Davis, and a grandfather to several grandchildren.
Steve had a passion for building model cars, airplanes, and ships, showcasing his creativity and attention to detail. He also enjoyed playing video games, often sharing these moments with friends and family.
For many years, Steve dedicated his efforts to Freshour Construction Co. until he was placed on disability. His love for his work and his family was evident in everything he did.
Steve’s warmth, kindness, and love for his friends and family will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May, 13, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville where friends and family can gather to share memories and honor the extraordinary person he was. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00am in the chapel. Burial will follow at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas.
